The Workshops are a new type of event this year. Together with a company, you will work alongside other students on a small assignment or a case study, getting a glimpse of the professional world of the built environment.
On March 25th from 14:00 to 17:00, a brand-new activity on the BBD agenda will take place: the workshops, hosted by Count & Cooper. This interactive session offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with fellow students on a real-world case study provided by the company, giving you valuable insight into their workflow and problem-solving approach.
The focus of the workshop is an assignment to repair and renew Amsterdam’s aging quay walls, a critical challenge in a bustling city. With numerous stakeholders, competing interests, and strict regulations, effective planning becomes essential, especially when construction might disrupt the city’s daily life due to noise, vibrations, or limited space.
In this session, based on actual ongoing work, students will be divided into teams to compete in creating the most efficient and innovative plan for the renovation of the iconic Heerengracht. This is your chance to apply your knowledge to a real-world scenario, learn from industry professionals, and showcase your strategic thinking.
The subscription for the masterclass closes on the 21st of March. Subscribe through the BBD app.
