Last edition’s online Preparation Day was a big success! For the upcoming edition, the preparation day will be transformed into the Kick-Off;
First of all, an interesting guest speaker who is active in the built environment will be invited to give a lecture about projects that they’ve been a part of. The last edition saw Scheldebouw introduce the attendants to the exciting world of façade engineering. Scheldebouw has executed the façade for some of Europe’s most renowned landmark buildings such as The Shard in London and The Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Currently, they are installing the façade for the new headquarters of Booking.com (ODE) in Amsterdam, a challenging design by UNStudio. By guiding through this project, Scheldebouw gave a small insight into the design and engineering of façades, which includes an advanced structural, thermal, and acoustic analysis.
The second part of this day is all about students. You will learn how to present yourself in a professional way. Your CV and LinkedIn profile will be checked by TU/e Career Academy and workshops will be provided to grow your mindset and give an insight into your soft skills.
