Bouwkunde Bedrijvendagen is an annual recurring event organized by Built Environment students of the University of Technology in Eindhoven. During this event, both bachelor and master students can directly and informally acquaint themselves with companies in the building sector.
The Bouwkunde Bedrijvendagen provides students with insight into their future career opportunities and the opportunity to get acquainted with the practice.
In 2021 it is possible to:
- Prepare for the upcoming events during the Preparation Day
- Join and expand your network at the Career Event
- Develop your practical skills and work on cases during the Cases
- Make your talent known to your future employer during the 1-on-1 Interviews

Program 2021 and Registration
Preparation Day
The program is as follows:
- 12:45 – 13:25 Lunchlecture by Building Heroes about the transition from study to career
- 13:45 – 16:30 Workshops by Building Heroes
- 13:45 – 16:30 CV check by TU/e Career Academy
Opening Lecture
The lecture will be on 23rd of February 2021 from 12:45 till 13:25. When you attend the lecture, you will get a free Scheldebouw goodie.

Cases
Due to the great successes of last years, the cases will be organized again this year! They will take place on the 24th of February from 14:00 until 16:00. Choose your preferred track, and together with one of our 3 companies, you can join a case in the A, U, or B direction. Together with fellow students, you will work on a real assignment from the company. Gain more insight into the way of working in the company and improve your collaboration skills, this is also the perfect moment to ask your questions about the work environment!
The B case will be held by Heijmans.
The A case will be held by Arcadis. This case will be about designing a transportation hub. During these 2 hours you will make an architectural diagrammatic representation of your idea. Essentials: SketchUp Pro, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
The U case will be held by Fakton. During this case the ‘Zomerhofkwartier Rotterdam’ will be discussed. You will define a program around this area and make your best offer for this.

Walking Dinner
Unfortunately, the Walking Dinner will not be held this year. Due to the COVID-19 regulations this is not certain to organize in a preferred way. However, this will not mean that there are no other activities to get to know the companies.
1-on-1 Interviews
Looking for an internship or graduation company, this is the ultimate moment to speak personally with the companies. Every conversation lasts 15 minutes, where you can ask all your questions to the company, and the other way around. You can apply to different companies and send in your CV. Based on the subscriptions and your CV the company will select students that stand out for them.

Career Event
The highlight of the Bouwkunde Bedrijvendagen is the Career Event. 25 companies, working in the built environment, attend this year’s event. This is the moment to ask all your questions to different companies and make connections. Also if you are doubting which track is most interesting within our study, you can join the orientation rounds and get more insights. Here you can meet a lot of companies in a short amount of time.
